Paris is arguably one of the most photogenic cities in the world for a couples photoshoot. Between iconic landmarks, charming cobbled streets, romantic gardens, and that unmistakable Parisian light, it's hard to go wrong! To help you plan your couples session in Paris, here's my complete guide to the best locations, along with a few practical tips along the way.




Iconic Locations for a Couples Photoshoot in Paris


Some spots are classics for a reason — they offer stunning backdrops and that unmistakable Parisian postcard feel.

  • The Eiffel Tower and Trocadéro: the must-see viewpoint, best shot early in the morning to avoid the crowds and catch beautiful light. There are several great vantage points nearby, including along the quays across the river or in the surrounding streets, which help avoid the busiest crowds.
  • Montmartre: cobblestone streets, staircases, and the Sacré-Cœur basilica create a romantic, slightly bohemian atmosphere.
  • The Seine riverbanks: for a softer, more intimate session, with the quays and bridges as your backdrop.
  • Pont des Arts: a symbol of Parisian romance, perfect for elegant photos in any season.

A couples photoshoot doesn't have to happen outdoors. An at-home session, in the comfort and privacy of your own space, can result in equally beautiful images, often even more natural and personal, capturing a quiet moment of connection at home, without the presence of passersby.

Depending on how long your session is, it's entirely possible to combine several locations to vary the mood: an early spot for morning light, followed by a more intimate location later on, for example. We always discuss this together beforehand to build a route that feels right for you.

Good news: Paris works beautifully for a couples photoshoot all year round.

  • Spring and summer offer soft light in the late afternoon (the famous golden hour) and lighter, breezier outfits.
  • Autumn brings warm colors and a cinematic mood, perfect for photos with real character.
  • Winter, even on grey days, has its own charm: overcast skies diffuse the light like one giant natural softbox, with no harsh shadows. And a session in the rain can even become a deeply romantic moment, straight out of a film scene. Winter outfits also add a lovely cozy touch!

Sessions typically run between 1 and 1.5 hours, sometimes longer depending on your wishes and how many locations you'd like to include. Pricing depends on the session length, and is shared with you once we've discussed what you have in mind.
